The National Teaching Council wishes to remind qualified teachers willing to partake in this year’s Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination 2023 GTLE1. This examination is open to resit-candidates who were unsuccessful in their last examination only.
The Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination is instituted to enable qualified teachers acquire a professional license and also meet the National Teachers Standards (NTS). As mandated by Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020 (ACT 1023), NTC is responsible for regulating the teaching profession in Ghana.
According to NTC, GTLR will help equip qualified teacher with adequate skills and also meet the demands of NTS of processing the minimum knowledge, skills, values and attitudes necessary to deliver effectively in the various schools in Ghana.
Due to the reforms of GTLE, the council has open the chances for candidates who sat for Essential Professional Skills, Literacy and Numeracy to redeem themselves again.
The slots which have been opened from last year has two more sitttings left for the candidates to redeem themselves. Resitcandidates are hereby informed that, there will be no chance for them again after these two elapses.
Candidates who sat for Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination but failed in some papers may register again to resit those papers.

Fees for Registration
Candidates are to register at the following fees
Candidates re-sitting for a paper are to pay an amount of One Hundred and Fifty(150.00) Ghana Cedis, candidates re-sitting for two papers are to pay Two Hundred and Ten (210.00) Ghana Cedis and those re-sitting for all thus the three are to pay Three Hundred and Eighty Five(385.00) Ghana Cedis.
