PRINCOF & TTAG To Meet Over Feeding Grant Brouhaha.

The article below is a flashback of what happened when the teacher trainees from all colleges of education launched a campaign on social media and other platforms calling on PRINCOF and NCTE to disburse the feeding component of the teacher trainee allowance to them.

The attention of the stakeholders was caught after the launch of the campaign via social media.

In reaction to the campaign, Dr. Nyamekye openly discussed with the News Desk of CoEWJ stating, they received a request from TTAG as they look forward to meeting the association on issues raised about the feeding component.

This meeting was held at Koforidua between the 16th to 19th of August 2020.

Back to recent days, PRINCOF after meeting TTAG has decided to refund the feeding component to trainees as demanded by them and should be implemented by all Principals in the various colleges of Education.

In our recent findings, colleges are now having a varying refund of feeding grants while others are yet to make payment to their students but rather insisting it to be deducted from the school fees students are supposed to pay.

In an interaction with a student in one of the most prestigious colleges in Ghana, he disclosed that after he paid the exact amount of school fees owed, he is wondering how to retrieve the feeding grant from his college.

Ghanacollegearchive.com hereby advises students to make deductions from the school fees before making payment or write a letter to the Principal of their schools for a refund.

Note: deduction should be based on the amount agreed upon by individual colleges.
