TTAG-WEC: ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVES FOR 2022 TTAG YEAR.

The Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG), Western and Central (WEC )Sector, elect new executive for 2022 TTAG year to steer the affairs of the Association for a one-year tenure according to the dictates of the association’s constitution.

The Executive Officers were duly elected during the Sector’s Annual Delegates’ Congress held at AB Valley Top Montessori School, Assin Foso in the Central Region of Ghana.

Teacher Trainees/Delegates from the Colleges of Education within the TTAG-WEC Sector attended this year’s Congress to deliberate on key issues of interest to the Association and its membership.

The Congress which took place between 2nd January, 2022 to 4th January, 2022 witnessed a beneficial Opening Ceremony, the fruitful deliberations of agenda concerning the welfare of trainees and the successful election of the following Officers for Association at the Sector level.

Vacant Position- Administrator
Reason being marked in the constitution at
Chapter Five, Article 25 Clause 2 (f) All executive officers except the administrator and vice president shall be elected at congress.


(Explaining that the Administrator must be appointed)
Per Contra, The ARTICLE 21 which reads out the DUTIES OF THE ADMINISTRATOR:
He shall be appointed by the National Executive Council

  1. Shall work in conjunction with the president, coordinator and other executive members to effectively run the secretariat of the association.
  2. Shall perform other duties assigned to him/ her by SEC

b) QUALIFICATION OF THE ADMINISTRATION
Shall be a past sector or national officer and must be a newly trained teacher is ready and willing to serve the association.

However, the Administrative handing over from the immediate past administration led by Hon. Romel Owusu Baffour to the 2022 TTAG Year administration led by the Hon. Theophilus Mensah would be held at Komenda College of Education.

This ceremony shall also seek to swear-in the newly elected executives. Thereafter, A new TTAG year would Commence according to the association’s constitution, which stipulates at ARTICLE37: TTAG YEAR

  • The TTAG year begins when congress elect new executive officers and are sworn-in to office.

In a brief remarks, given by the Special Guest Speaker, Hon. Felix Donkoh, (SRC President, University of Education,Winneba.), he called for unity of purpose among members in pursuing the agenda of the association since “a house divided against itself cannot stand”, he noted.

He assured the association of his desire to pursue all outstanding matters left by the past executives to its logical conclusion with the backing of his able associate power.


He then congratulated the elected executives and pledged his unflinching support for a successful tenure, adding that a lot would be expected of the new executives.

To bring down the curtains, “It is the responsibility of leadership to provide opportunity, and the responsibility of individuals to contribute” attested by a great leader William Poland.

Let us all workout out responsibility to contribute positively to the leadership so that we can discover unlimited legacies and opportunities together. Long live Student Leadership, Long live TTAG, Long Live Ghana.
